If there are no signs, only reflex, then the body - not “mind” - is the vector of all semiotic activity. And if not everything that is communicated can be willed, then the indexical must exceed the metapragmatic. Hence our ability to articulate the unsaid, the natural object of critical inquiry, must remain an absurd and asymptotic task.
